Rovinia is an isolated beach near Liapades village, 20 km away from the center of Corfu.

Coconut and lemon cake.

Ingredients.

100gr butter.(brought to room temperature.)
1 cup sugar.
Rind lemon(finely grated)
1/2 cup desiccated coconut.
2 cup self-raising flour.
1 cup milk.

Full Moon

Waiting for my second child to be born and while my hormones were making my mood tango, I chose to watch “Far from the madding Crowd”, not knowing that it was based on a novel. Something intrigued me with this movie {was it the performances, the scenery, the fact that it portrays women with a male-dominated feminism (???)}, so I decided to buy the book. The way Thomas Hardy writes is sensational. It engrosses you right from the first paragraphs.

A honeymoon worth remembering

Cuba

It's 21:00 on a Monday evening 7 years ago. My husband and I are ready for our honeymoon the next day. We also are going to move out when we return, so our apartment is full of boxes. We are waiting for a phone call from the traveling agency, to give us information about the procedures. They had told us they would give us a call until 20:30. So -under my pressure, I always worry about this kind of staff- my husband called them again. No answer. We were worried to death. Called again...no luck. Finally, since we had booked the tickets through a rural agency, we managed to find the owner's home number (the second number under the same name on the catalogue was his cousin's home!) After a series of apologies and since we made clear it was actually a honeymoon trip, he informed us at 22:30 that we should be at the Athens' National Airport at 05:30, where we should look for mrs X, near the abroad check-ins. And yes, we made it! Took off from Athens and after a stop in Paris and a 10hour flight from there, we landed in La Havana, Cuba.

Time to relax

Relax you guys!

There are periods in my life that things get so hectic, I feel that time isn't enough t do the basics, let alone relax. You see, I am a working mother. I have to babies. A 3,5 year-old Tasmanian devil and a 1 year-old Tasmanian devil-to be. I have a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier (Tasmanian devil). I work in a hospital. Shifts. Weekends. My husband on shifts and weekends, as well. We cannot afford a nanny and our parents live far away. Some days we just meet at the door passing the car-keys to the other one's hand and giving a quick kiss. "Call me"!
